My new hobby

At long last, I have discovered a meaningful and expressive hobby! I have taken up the cello! Have a listen to my performance…

Oh, dear readers, the music world is abuzz, and so am I! It was most exciting to play in my debut recital. Everyone important was there to support me and to celebrate my success! You can’t believe how thrilled I am. It’s like playing frisbee only better. I don’t get out of breath as much and it’s not as hard on my teeth, so I think it is actually the perfect hobby for me in my maturing years. And to think I was able to perform that all-time favourite of border collies: Baa Baa Black Sheep.

In case you were wondering, I don’t think you’re able to download it just yet. My agent, well… my Daddy says I need to sign a bunch of papers first. Anyhow, I would love to know what you’d like me to play next!!

Well, I can’t write too much more now. I am sooooo inspired to practise! My love to you, my adoring fans.

  1. I cannot tell you how impressed I am. Cello is a wonderful instrument. The only time I bark musically is when my human sings. She doesn’t seem to like it much – when she tries to hit a high note I join in and get a scathing look. I don’t know why. Keep on playing, Academy. Two words, Yo-Yo Ma. I heard someone named Patti Paige just died – she sang a song called “How Much is That Doggie in the Window” – why don’t you try that one.

    • Yes, Lilly, I just love the cello. I feel my whole being vibrate when I play. Of course, I am often transported to other realms when in the midst of my creations. I shall attempt the Patti Paige opus one day. Thank you for the suggestion.
