Our Opening Moment

After weeks of dreaming, thinking, writing, and waiting, we are thrilled that Stick and Squirrel is now online!

Today is a very special day in the heavens. This morning the Sun rose along with Sirius, the Dog Star, making this an important day for all creatures here on staff. We chose to have Stick and Squirrel accessible to our online readers at 9:50 am Pacific Time — that’s the moment when Betelgeuse crests the Midheaven, hopefully imbuing success on our venture!

Over the next few months you’ll read more about Sirius, Betelgeuse, and Procyon, the three stars upon which I shall develop my own system of canine astrology. But for now, have a look in this little video to see how the star patterns move in today’s sky. Notice at the start that both the Sun and Sirius are on the horizon. Do you see Betelgeuse? Watch it climb to the green Meridian line! Then wish us well!

Glacier

Glacier was inspired to embrace the craft of writing by her older sister, Academy. She is now the senior writer for Stick And Squirrel, the online magazine for dogs. Glacier is particularly gifted in the esoteric arts. Should you wish to submit a question, she will happily explore her various tools for answers.
